My thesis is about self-identity through domestic spaces, and memory objects. I am inviting the viewer to investigate their own self-identity and memory through childhood experiences involving domestic spaces. We are all different; our experiences take place within the place we refer to as childhood home. An individual’s environment is crucial to the development of self;  physical, emotional, spiritual, and of personal interests.Our experiences in life and growing up is what makes up our reality and how we understand life. Domestic spaces, objects, and the experiences makes us who we are, it gives us self-identity. By viewing my autobiographical representation on my self-identification, the viewers can explore the places, spaces and objects in this body of work; and see for themselves through their own familiarity with their own self-identification and the importance that their childhood home has for their being and who they are. They may not have these exact spaces, places, objects, or things like lighting, texture, or arrangement, but a majority of people had a childhood place to call home. I am inviting the viewers into my childhood past of a place I consider home to show the viewers the different spaces, places, and memory objects I experienced  that made me, me. The broadness of these interiors lets the viewers inhabit the space, and then they can have a self-evaluation of who they are, how they are, and remember what affected them in their lives to come to a greater understanding of self.
